Position Criteria
At St Luke's, teachers strategically work in teams across a stage to collaboratively plan, prepare, teach, assess and evaluate student learning and are required to:




Support and assist the evangelising mission of Catholic education;
Use diagnostic data, summative data and formative data, including observations, annotations and work samples, to inform 'next steps' for students;
Have high expectations of students;
Demonstrate deep understanding of curriculum and pedagogy
Regularly provide students with feedback as part of the teaching and learning cycle; and,
Know and apply NESA and Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) requirements.
Qualifications to teach English Stages 4-6 Strong knowledge of explicit teaching and evidence‐based approaches to English learning
Ability to differentiate and cater for diverse student needs to maximise learning
Solid understanding of effective learning environments, lesson design, technology use, assessment and feedback
Commitment to ongoing professional growth and continual improvement of practice
Collaborative, creative team member who sets high expectations for self and students
Able to inspire and motivate students to achieve and develop a love of learning.
Qualifications, Accreditations and Experience
Tertiary Qualification in Education (or fourth year student)
NESA Accreditation (Conditional Accreditation also accepted)
