Antique Retail Assistant
to join our team on a
full-time basis
. Based in our Rosebery store, you will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional customer experience whilst supporting the day-to-day operations of our antique retail business. This position is essential to maintaining our reputation as a premier destination for quality antiques and collectables, ensuring every customer interaction reflects our commitment to excellence and authenticity.
What you'll be doing
Greeting customers with warmth and professionalism, providing expert assistance in identifying and selecting antique items that meet their needs
Demonstrating comprehensive product knowledge about the antiques, collectables and vintage pieces in stock, including their history, provenance and value
Processing sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems and handling cash and card payments with integrity
Supporting inventory management tasks, including stock rotation, organisation and maintaining detailed product information
Assisting with the display and presentation of merchandise to maximise visual appeal and encourage customer engagement
Responding to customer enquiries via telephone and email in a timely and professional manner
Contributing to a clean, welcoming and well-maintained retail environment
Supporting the team during busy periods and special events
Assisting with pricing, labelling and cataloguing of new stock arrivals
What we're looking for
Genuine passion for antiques, collectables and vintage items with the ability to educate customers about products
Proven retail experience or customer service background in a similar environment




Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse customer bases
Excellent numeracy skills and accuracy when handling cash and processing transactions
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Attention to detail and organisational skills to maintain inventory and store standards
Physical capability to lift, carry and arrange items of varying sizes and weights
Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays as required
A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn
Basic computer literacy and familiarity with point-of-sale systems is advantageous
Fluency with Social Media is advantageous
