The Role
Radiology Victoria (RV) have an opportunity for a well-rounded Registered Nurse with previous experience in Radiology to join our existing team at Geelong, located in Epworth Hospital at Waurn Ponds.
This role is currently available with part-time hours. Shifts are weekdays in regular business hours.
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will be working alongside the broader imaging team and will provide best practice in patient-centred care.
As a Registered Nurse at RV, you will have the opportunity to participate in the full scope of imaging procedures and rotate through our various modalities, this includes Interventional Ultrasound, Angiography, Mammography, Fluoroscopy, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Computerized Tomography and with potential future opportunities to learn other specialties. You will be expected to provide pre, peri, and post-care to patients undergoing imaging and interventional procedures within our department. Interventional procedures include : biopsies, drainages, central catheter insertion, cortisone injections, lumbar puncture, etc.
To be successful in this role you will...
have current Registered Nursing registration with AHPRA
have a passion in providing high quality acute, complex patient-centred care
be an excellent communicator and team player
be experienced in Medical Imaging nursing, Radiology, Catheter Laboratory, Surgical ward or Operating Theatres (desirable),

RV employ approximately 330 highly skilled Radiologists, Medical Imaging Technologists, and health professionals providing Angiography, Intervention, Bone Mineral Densitometry (BMD), Computed Tomography, Dental X-Ray (OPG), General X-Ray, MRI, 3D and Contrast Mammography, Nuclear Medicine and PET and Ultrasound.
