An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Payroll Manager to lead a small payroll team and take ownership of the payroll function across the organisation. Reporting to the Director of People & Culture, your responsibilities will include:
Manage and coach a payroll team, building capability and performance
Take full ownership of the payroll cycle for a large, multi-award workforce
Keep the function compliant across tax, superannuation, Fair Work and award obligations
Deliver payroll insights and reporting that inform workforce and business decisions




Run month-end and year-end processes, including reconciliations and STP finalisation
Resolve escalated and complex payroll matters with sound judgement
Identify and implement smarter ways of working across payroll systems and processes
Work closely with Finance and People & Culture on cross-functional initiatives
You will have 9+ years' payroll experience gained within a similar-sized organisation, including proven experience managing or leading a team. You bring sound knowledge of payroll legislation, Fair Work requirements and industrial awards, robust reporting and Excel skills, and excellent attention to detail. A professional, approachable communication style and a continuous-improvement mindset will see you succeed in this role.
