Essential job criteria
Prepare, review and manage scopes of work and services.
Provide strategic commercial advice throughout the contract lifecycle including contract
interpretation, risk mitigation, scope creep control and negotiation of variations.
Track, monitor and progress contract issues across the Project phases to ensure delivery
milestones are met.
Identify, manage and escalation commercial, contractual, financial, reputational and supply
chain risks.
Conduct performance reporting and analysis identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
Manage the RFT process, including
Undertaking the role of probity manager
Developing the Draft Contract
Finalising the statement of requirements
Issuing addenda in response to respondent queries
Finalising the evaluation plan
Participating in and assisting with the evaluation of responses
Drafting the source evaluation report
Manage the negotiation process with the successful tenderer, including:
Drafting the Negotiation Directive
Finalising negotiations




Drafting the Negotiation Report

The overall management and control of the operation of formal contracts for supply of products and services.
ITCM Level 4
Sources and collects contract performance data (such as pricing and supply chain costs), and monitors performance against KPIs. Identifies and reports under-performance and develops opportunities for improvement. Monitors compliance with Terms and Conditions and take appropriate steps to address non-compliance. Pro-actively manages risk and reward mechanisms in the contract. Monitors progress against business objectives specified in the business case. Identifies where change is required, and plans for variations. In consultation with stakeholders, ensures that change management protocols are implemented.
