Instro Services is seeking an experiencedIndustrial Electricianto join our team in Bathurst, NSW.
This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in maintaining, installing, and repairing complex electrical systems within industrial environments.
As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical installations meet safety standards and regulatory requirements whilst supporting our clients' operational continuity.
This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects utilising your technical expertise to contribute meaningfully to the success of our organisation.
Key responsibilities
Installing, commissioning, and maintaining electrical systems, equipment, and machinery in industrial settings
Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical faults and system failures, implementing prompt repairs to minimise downtime
Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematics to guide installation and maintenance work
Conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
Testing electrical systems and equipment using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment to verify functionality and safety
Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with relevant electrical codes, Australian standards, and workplace health and safety regulations
Collaborating with other trades and team members on complex industrial projects to deliver integrated solutions
Maintaining accurate records of work completed, materials used, and any issues encountered during service delivery




Responding to emergency call-outs and providing rapid response support when critical electrical failures occur
What we're looking for
Recognised electrical trade qualification or equivalent apprenticeship completion in electrical installation or maintenance
Current electrical licence relevant to industrial work in New South Wales
Proven experience working as an Industrial Electrician in manufacturing, processing, or similar industrial environments
Sound knowledge of electrical theory, circuits, motor controls, and power distribution systems
Competency in using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, clamp meters, and insulation testers
Strong understanding of Australian electrical standards, safety codes, and workplace health and safety requirements
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and electrical blueprints accurately
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex electrical faults effectively
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Physical capability to perform manual tasks, work at heights if required, and operate in various environmental conditions
Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to job sites as required
Experience with PLC programming, variable frequency drives,



or industrial automation systems is highly desirable
