Assist in ongoing development of Occupational Therapy service across the Hospital
At Norwest Private Hospital, we are seeking a Level 3 Senior Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our Allied Health team in a part-time permanent capacity for three (3) days a week.
About the Role
This is an prospect to become the clinical lead across a range of acute wards to facilitate the assessment of equipment needs, functional assessments, cognitive assessments and service provision to facilitate patient safety and discharge within a multidisciplinary team.
As an Occupational Therapist in our team, your responsibilities will include:
Delivering therapeutic services to patients with a broad range of acute conditions
Undertaking individual sessions for inpatients
Conducting risk assessment and safety planning
Working collaboratively with other Allied Health clinicians and nursing staff
Acute, clinical OT experience and expertise
A commitment to high quality patient care and continuous improvement
Experience and expertise in delivering of a broad range of evidence based therapeutic approaches
Authority to Work in Australia
Working with Children check (or the ability to acquire one)
Appropriate tertiary qualification/s pertaining to specific discipline/designation
Registration with AHPRA
Self-motivation and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning, collaborative team
Well-developed interpersonal skills
A proactive, self-motivated and patient-focused approach
