About the Role
As aSupport Worker, you will provide assistance inSupported Independent Living (SIL) homes, helping participants with daily activities, personal care, and community engagement.
Youmust be willing and available to work sleepovers shiftsas part of your roster.
If you're not based inToowoomba, you must be willing to travel for work.
What You'll Do
Assist with daily living tasks such aspersonal care, meal prep, cleaning, and shopping.
Manual handling tasks such ashoisting,operating manualor electric wheelchairs and assisting with transfers.
Provide and assist withtransportand support for medical appointments, social outings, and activities.
Work alongside allied health professionals todevelop support plansand help participants achieve their goals.
Support participants in gainingindependence, confidence,



and community involvement.
Ensureparticipants always have choice and controlover their care and support.
What We're Looking For
Experience & Qualifications– Experience with manual handling equipment and behaviour management is highly desirable along with a certificate III in Individual Support (or higher) OR relevant industry experience/similar qualifications.
Candidates without a Certificate III in Individual Support must have a minimum of 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
Essential Requirements
NDIS Worker Screening (Yellow Card), Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid & CPR Certificate, Current "C" Class Driver's License, Full Comprehensive Car Insurance, and your own vehicle.
Skills & Traits
Strong communication skills, adaptability, empathy, understanding and person-centered care focused.
Availability
MUST be available to work some sleepover shifts and weekends.
Reference checks may be conducted as part of the selection process.
