Your Role and Responsibility
We are looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our fleet maintenance team in Banksmeadow. Our workshop team play a critical role within the business to ensure our fleet of vehicles are continually maintained to the highest standard to keep our staff and passengers safe out on the road.
This role requires a mature and professional approach, with excellent communication skills. As a Mechanic for Big Bus you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our bus fleet. This includes:




Ensuring all maintenance work is performed according to company procedures and to meet regulatory standards
Road testing vehicles as required
Identifying and repairing vehicle defects
Attend breakdowns and carry out any field related mechanical repairs
Effectively and efficiently communicate any safety or maintenance issues
Adhering to all Work, Health & Safety requirements whilst performing work duties
Maintaining clean workshop practices
Reporting and repairing all accident damage as required
Performing ad-hoc tasks and other duties as directed

Daily Shifts: 7:45am – 5:30pm

Requirements
Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic qualification
National Police Check (issued within the last 3 months)
RMS Driving History (current)
Current NSW MVTC Motor Mechanic trade certificate (essential)
Current HR Drivers License (or ability to obtain)
Physically fit and be able to perform manual labour
Previous experience in bus or coach industry an advantage along with some electrical or air-conditioning experience, but this is not essential as we are willing to further your training (desirable)
Cummins engine experience preferred (preferred)
