About Us

Our Lady of Consolation Aged Care & Services is a proud and independent Not-For-Profit organisation housing up to 280 elderly residents based in Rooty Hill in Sydney's Western Suburbs. We also provide home care services to up to 2000 elderly clients across the Sydney Metro Region, enabling them to remain in their own homes for longer. Our focus is on helping the elderly to be as active and able as they can be, regardless of their underlying health conditions. As a not-for profit we can offer salary packaging, staff well-being initiatives and exciting restorative care programs for our clients.

The Role

We are looking for Personal Care Workers who are able adaptable and have the ability to work AM shifts and PM shifts, and some Night Shifts at our Rooty Hill facility.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide the highest quality of resident care and support to elderly people with Dementia as per individual care plans

Encouraging independence,



upholding customers dignity, and supporting their right of choice.

Assist with daily living according to assessed needs, toileting, showering, dressing, feeding, personal hygiene, and more

Ensuring meals are served to residents at the appropriate time and temperature

Assisting with resident mobility, both personal and mechanical

Identifying and reporting any issues or concerns to the appropriate person

Demonstrated experience working in a Residential Aged Care or similar setting for at least 12 months

Demonstrated understanding of Dementia - direct experience of care delivery preferred

Resilient, quick thinking, and demonstrated problem-solving ability

Robust focus on honesty, integrity, and working independently

Strong focus on resident wellbeing and able to adapt your work practices to a range of individual needs

Please note the successful applicant must be willing to undergo a Medical Assessment, Criminal History Check, Working Rights Check and have medical evidence of at least one (1) Covid vaccination documented.
