What you will be required to do:
This position plays a key role in supporting recreational fishing research and data collection in Queensland.
Visit local boat ramps in the Rockhamptonarea
Interview recreational fishers using a set survey script
Identify, count, and measure fish species
Record and submit accurate data promptly
Provide information and answer questions from the public using supplied resources
To be successful in the role you will:
Have robust communication and interpersonal skills




Demonstrate attention to detail for accurate data collection
Bring basic knowledge of fishing and fish species (essential)
Have full working rights in Australia
Have access to reliable transport to attend boat ramps
Demonstrate a positive attitude towards safety and its importance in every role
