THE OPPORTUNITY
An exciting prospect has become available for anAssistant Store Managerbased inHuntingwood.This position involves working as part of our collaborative retail team - reporting to the Store Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Assistant Store Manager, you will be a key member of the retail team and will often be a key point of contact with our customers.
In this role you will be expected to find out the needs of the customer and then present them with a suitable solution.
As such you will need to have a thorough understanding of the products and services provided byStratcoand be willing to participate in regular training relating toStratco'sproducts and systems to ensure your knowledge is kept up to date.
You will also be expected to lead by example and support the store manager in their efforts to grow sales and improve the skills of the store team.
The role will involve:
Face to face and telephone sales
Leading and participating in training and personal development sessions
Assisting with the development of rosters and training programmes
Store merchandising and stock control




Assisting with general store management activities
Collaborate with team members, other business areas and projects as required
Strict adherence to our critical safety rules & contributing to a safe working environment
ABOUT YOU
A passion to deliver outstanding customer service
Agile communication skills
An eye for detail whilst working in a fast paced setting
The ability to coach and develop your teams skills
The ability to build your customer base and attract and manage trades business
Proven selling skills
Experience in retail management
Willingness to enhance the customer experience by working with enthusiasm, energy, and pace
Whilst experience is great, it'll be your passion, reliable attitude and personality that set you apart
As our stores operate 6 days per week,
you will be required to work some weekends.
