Moreton Bay College (Long Day Care) Early Learning Centre provides a safe, supportive and nurturing environment for the boys and girls in its care.
MBC Early Learning Centre is adjacent to the College's Prep Facility and is a fully licensed 69 place Long Day Care Centre available to both girls and boys and includes facilities catering for children aged 15 months to 5 years.
The Centre operates from 6:30am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday (except for Public Holidays), for 50 weeks of the year – closing only for two weeks over the Christmas and New Year period.
THE POSITION
Our Early Years Precinct is seeking creative, dedicated Casual Educators who have a genuine passion for child-centered learning and strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework to join our team in both Pre-Prep Kindy and our Early Learning Centre.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assisting with the implementation of the Early Childhood Program
Engaging and working alongside children and families to support learning outcomes.




Working with individuals and groups of children to support and document their learning.
Awareness of planning for children's learning experiences through the EYLF
Ability to document learning observations and critical reflections
Help maintain the environment, resources and equipment.
Understanding and working according to the Early Learning Centre Policies
Complete light cleaning duties as required.
Assist with administration duties as required.
Ensuring the health and safety of all children in their care.
Awareness of the regulations associated with the early education and care industry
Engage in professional discussions about the learning program and continuous improvement.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
A good understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Working with Children Suitability Card is essential.
A current first aid certificate and CPR.
Current Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates.

Newly renovated Centre with contemporary amenities
Large outdoor yards
The Early Learning Centre has a staff work space and lunchroom.
This role can require a high level of physical activity and requires a physically capable individual.
On occasion there will be a need to lift a child (approx weight 15kg)
Excellent auditory and visual capacity is required because of child safety.
