At Orchard Early Learning, our kitchen is the heart of the Centre.
We're looking for a passionate Cook/Chef who loves creating fresh, nutritious meals while making a real difference in the lives of children every day.
You'll work alongside a supportive team to prepare delicious, balanced meals, cater for individual dietary needs and help create positive mealtime experiences where children can Play, Learn and Thrive.

What You'll Be Doing
Preparing fresh, nutritious morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea for children aged 0-5
Planning seasonal, balanced menus that meet nutrition guidelines and dietary requirements
Managing food orders and working within the kitchen budget
Maintaining exceptional food safety, hygiene and kitchen compliance
Creating welcoming mealtime experiences that encourage healthy eating habits
Working closely with educators and families to support children's individual dietary needs
Maintaining a clean, organised and well-stocked kitchen




Supporting sustainability initiatives and reducing food waste wherever possible
What You'll Bring
Experience as a Cook/Chef (Early Childhood experience highly regarded)
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or equivalent
Food Safety / Safe Food Handling Certificate
Knowledge of menu planning and children's nutrition
Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card/WWCC)
Strong understanding of food safety, allergies and special dietary requirements
A warm, positive attitude and genuine passion for supporting children's wellbeing
