A specialist medical centre supports three General Surgeons and employs several permanent part time medical secretaries who share administrative responsibilities across the Practice. We are currently seeking an additional permanent part time medical secretary to work two days per week.

The successful candidate will be required to work across our Castle Hill, Norwest and Windsor practices, and must have their own vehicle to commute between sites. The role will occasionally require early starts from 7am and late finishes up to 7pm, depending on business needs.

About the role
Effectively managing and prioritising patients' phone calls, texts and emails.
schedule and confirm patient appointments.
Keep patient records organised and current.
Process insurance claims and handle billing questions.
Support other administrative tasks as needed.

Skills and experience
Experience as a medical receptionist,



secretary or in a similar customer-facing role within the healthcare industry is preferred, but not mandatory. We welcome applications from individuals who are eager to learn.
Solid organisation and communication skills, and familiarity with medical terminology
the knowledge of Australian Health Care System
Proficient in Microsoft Office and medical software and medical softwares is desirable.
Experience with Medicare billing and Workers' Compensation billing
Bilingualism is an advantage
