We're working with a leading technology-driven trading firm that is hiring a Data focused Python Engineer for a business-critical engineering function.

The Role

You will work on complex data-intensive problems, building scalable backend services and data processing solutions that help the business manage, analyse, and act on large volumes of information in real time.

Responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain Python-based applications and services
Build scalable data processing pipelines and backend systems
Work with large, complex datasets to generate insights and improve operational efficiency
Develop tooling and automation to support critical business workflows
Collaborate with engineering, operations and business stakeholders globally




Contribute to the architecture and evolution of core data platforms

Requirements
Experience working with large-scale data processing systems
Exposure to up-to-date data technologies such as Spark, Databricks or similar distributed computing frameworks
Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for hands‑on engineering
Experience working within complex, data-rich environments

Preferred Background
Experience supporting operational, data, risk or control-related workflows
Exposure to trade lifecycle, transaction processing or large-scale operational platforms
Experience building internal platforms, automation tooling or data products
