Role Summary
We're looking for a customer-facing Digital Building Engineer to successfully on-board and manage clients on the Switch Smart Building Platform. You'll work closely with other Switch engineers and our development team to deliver customer projects and continuously improve our platform capabilities.
Duties Primary Duties
Implement and configure of the Switch Platform for client specific sites and portfolios by integrating current buildings and building systems into the Switch Platform
Configure fault detection and performance optimization logic
Perform engineering analysis on building systems to identify and register performance issues and propose improvements and optimization opportunities
Conduct regular meetings and communications with building site teams and vendors to drive action on performance optimization opportunities
Design and build visualizations to support customer programs and key impact metrics
Train new users and provide ongoing software support to customers
Provide project support for data integration, ongoing collection,
manipulation and analysis: from hardware (meters, control systems, Switch Appliances) to software and flat files
Perform project and account management responsibilities to drive customer success
Provide software feedback and testing to the product team using your expertise to suggest meaningful improvements to the Switch Platform
Develop commercial and solutioning skills for interactions with perspective customers as part of demonstrations
Learn and develop technical training materials for internal and external users of the software
Constantly update knowledge and learning of the industry, the competitive landscape, the Switch Platform and ancillary technologies through ongoing personal development
Foster and promote fellow team members by sharing information, education, learnings and introductions
Schedule tasks for younger members of the team and provide feedback/training to upskill the team
Skills, Qualifications & Experience Minimum requirements:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Energy Engineering or in a similar major;
2+ years' experience in the building services industry, with strong attention to detail;
Working knowledge of HVAC systems and controls strategies;
Confident leading meetings and engaging directly with customers.
Highly regarded (not essential):
Data skills (KQL, SQL, Python);
Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders;
Commercial acumen and understanding of property operations;
CCNA or networking knowledge.
