About the Role
This is an exciting contract opportunity to contribute to the evolution of two flagship programs by strengthening and refining curriculum design and delivery.
Working across early childhood and youth-focused programs, you'll partner with Program Directors and Managers to review, develop and implement culturally responsive curriculum and resources that align with national frameworks and community needs.
You'll play a key role in shaping practical learning tools and educational content that support improved wellbeing, health outcomes, and educational engagement for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people.




Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Development & Design
Review, update and create curriculum resources aligned to program outcomes and national frameworks
Support implementation of the Walking Learning® framework into practice
Develop engaging teaching and learning resources for early childhood educators
Health, Wellbeing & Education Content
Design culturally appropriate health, nutrition, and wellbeing resources
Translate complex ideas into accessible, engaging and practical formats
Align content with evidence-based frameworks and program values
Program Support & Implementation
Support curriculum pilot projects, including prevention messaging initiatives
Contribute to evaluation frameworks and educator self-assessment tools
Collaborate closely with program teams and community stakeholders
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work alongside program leaders, coaches, and community staff
Ensure resources are culturally safe, relevant and community-informed
Support cross-program integration of key educational messages
What We're Looking For
Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood or Primary), Educational Design, or similar
Experience developing or reviewing curriculum aligned to EYLF or Australian Curriculum
Strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and contexts
Knowledge of early childhood pedagogy and community-based education approaches
Ability to translate complex concepts into practical, user-friendly resources
Solid written communication and attention to detail
Comfortable working both autonomously and collaboratively
Requirements:
National Criminal History Check
Working with Children Check (or equivalent)
