Northwest Mining Company is looking for a reliable and motivated Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our busy Muswellbrook workshop in the Hunter Valley.
You'll work on a diverse range of mine site light vehicles, company fleet, and retail/customer vehicles, supporting both internal operations and external clients.
This is a hands‐on workshop role suited to someone who enjoys variety in their workday, problem solving, and being part of a strong, safety‐focused team.
Whether you're an experienced mechanic or an apprentice nearing completion, this role provides a pathway into the mining industry while developing your skills across a wide range of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
Routine servicing and preventive maintenance on mine site and retail vehicles
Mechanical diagnostics and defect repairs




Troubleshooting across light vehicles and workshop equipment
Maintaining accurate job cards and service records
Supporting workshop productivity and organisation
Maintaining a clean, secure and compliant work environment
What we're looking for
Trade-qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic
Apprentices nearing completion encouraged to apply
Experience working on fleet, mine site or customer vehicles (desirable)
Strong mechanical diagnostic skills
Reliable, team-focused attitude
High attention to detail and strong safety awareness
