Clark Diesel is looking for an experienced trade qualified Diesel Fitter to join our team.
Clark Diesel is a locally owned and operated family business that services Townsville and surrounding areas.
We specialise in heavy earthmoving repairs & maintenance, breakdowns, component rebuilds, hydraulic installations & repairs and hydraulic hose supply.
About the Role:
The Diesel Fitter position will primarily be based in our fully equipped workshop, however field service may be required from time to time.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of equipment and machinery within a small team workplace.
You will be involved in all aspects of heavy equipment maintenance, from routine servicing and repairs through to complete rebuilds of heavy earthmoving equipment.
Choose the work schedule that suits your lifestyle – either a 4 days on, 3 days off roster or a standard Monday to Friday work week




Full time position
Competitive hourly rate with potential to earn an annual performance-based bonus

The successful applicant must meet these requirements:
Trade Certificate Cert III in Mechanical Engineering (Diesel Fitter) or equivalent
Experience in preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
Must be able to competently read and interpret OEM electrical and hydraulic schematics
A strong work ethic
Produce high quality work with attention to detail
Current manual Drivers Licence
Ability to be able to pass a medical
