Strathfield Golf Club is seeking a motivated and enthusiasticApprentice Greenkeeperto join our Course Maintenance team for an immediate start.
Whether you're looking to begin a rewarding career or are already completing an apprenticeship and looking for a new opportunity, we'd love to hear from you.
Working alongside our experienced Course Superintendent and qualified Greenkeepers, you'll receive hands‐on training in all aspects of golf course maintenance while completing your nationally recognized apprenticeship through Ryde TAFE (one day per week).
What You'll Learn
Golf course presentation and maintenance
Mowing greens, tees, fairways and roughs
Course setup for daily play and tournaments
Bunker preparation and maintenance
Irrigation systems
Turf nutrition and plant health
Machinery operation and maintenance
Safe work practices and the use of professional turf equipment
No two days are the same, and you'll develop skills that can lead to a long‐term career in the golf and sports turf industry.
What We Offer
Immediate start available
Full‐time apprenticeship (38 hours per week)
One paid day per week at Ryde TAFE

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday
5:30 am – 2:00 pm
Wednesday
4:30 am – 8:30 am
Our unique Wednesday schedule gives you the rest of the day free, helping create a great work‐life balance while completing your apprenticeship.

Is reliable and motivated
Enjoys working outdoors
Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic
Is willing to learn recent skills
Can work well both independently and as part of a team
Takes pride in producing high-quality work
Has a genuine interest in sport, turf or the outdoors (golf knowledge is an advantage but not essential)
