We're looking for an experienced
Senior Level 3 Systems Engineer
to become the primary technical escalation point for our engineering team.
This is not a management role—it's a hands-on technical leadership position. You'll be the person our Level 1 and Level 2 engineers turn to when they need help solving complex technical issues, while also leading projects and helping improve our technical standards.

About the Role
As our Senior Level 3 Systems Engineer, you'll:
Be the primary technical escalation point for our Level 1 and Level 2 engineers
Lead and deliver Microsoft 365, Azure and infrastructure projects
Mentor and develop junior engineers
Design and implement secure, modern IT environments
Troubleshoot complex Microsoft, networking and infrastructure issues
Assist with developing technical standards, documentation and best practices
Work closely with our Operations Manager to ensure projects and escalations are delivered efficiently
What You'll Bring




We're looking for someone with solid experience across:
Microsoft 365
Microsoft Entra ID
Microsoft Intune
Microsoft Azure
Windows Server
Virtualisation (Hyper-V and/or VMware)
Networking including switching, routing, VLANs, VPNs and firewalls
Backup and disaster recovery solutions
Microsoft security technologies
PowerShell or automation experience
Experience & Qualifications
Minimum 5 years' experience in a Senior Level 3 or Infrastructure Engineer role
Strong Microsoft 365 and Azure experience
Microsoft certifications highly regarded
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Proven project delivery experience
Excellent communication skills
Ability to mentor and support other engineers
Self-motivated with strong organisational skills
A genuine desire to continually learn and improve
Highly Regarded
Experience with technologies such as:
Cisco Meraki
Datto RMM
Microsoft Defender
Cloudflare
Cyber Security best practices
