Townsville City Council is currently seeking applications for the**** Apprenticeship intake!
Growyour career outdoors with a hands‐on Apprenticeship in Parks andGardens, helping shape and maintain the Riverway SportingPrecinct, helping to ensure this premier community and recreationdestination remains protected, well-maintained, and beautifullypresented.
Working across the precinct's sporting fields,landscaped areas, public spaces and facilities, you will play animportant role in creating a welcoming environment for localsporting clubs, residents and visitors to enjoyyear-round.
Thisapprenticeship includes completing a 3‐year Certificate III inParks and Gardens through TAFE North Queensland, providing anationally recognised qualification and a strong foundation for arewarding career in horticulture and landscapemaintenance.

Qualificationsand Experience
Inan ideal applicant, we are looking for:
Willingness tobe part of, and promote, a positive safety culture whilstadhering to all Health and Safety policies andprocedures.




Minimumcompleted of Year 10 with passes in English andMathematics.
Minimum ofQueensland C class provisional drivers' licence (or ability toobtain).
Sound writtenand verbal communication skills.
Sound computerskills.
Ability to workeffectively and be positively involved within a teamenvironment.
Complete alltraining and assessment requirements of a Certificate III inParks and Gardens as per the provided training plan.
Thisincludes attending and participating in structured formallearning at the nominated Registered Training Organisation(RTO) as well as keeping an accurate and up to date trainingrecord book.
