Play Workshop is a designer, supplier and builder of playground equipment and play spaces into NSW and ACT. We are a very creative business, looking for opportunities to create custom equipment and amazing playground solutions for our clients. This role requires an enthusiastic and capable Carpenter to work closely with the leading hand to ensure the successful and professional manufacture and delivery of our custom timber products.

Carpenter - Playground Production

Type of employment

This is a Full-time Casual role of 38 hours per week. Work hours will typically be between 7:00am - 3:30pm over five days of the week.

Location

The role is based at our Silverwater - 20 Churchill Street, Silverwater, but may also entail some work on sites across Sydney.

Rate of Pay

Depending on experience

Main Responsibilities
Manufacture/Production of all timber-related playground structures and products, including cutting, routing, sanding, drilling, assembly, oiling/painting
Occasional assembly and/or construction of timber-related playground equipment on site may be required
Assisting with maintaining a clean and tidy workspace




Adhere to all WHS requirements and assist with ongoing improvement
Some involvement in production planning and implementation

Skills and Experience
Certificate 3 or 4 in Carpentry
Solid demonstrated experience in WHS and safe systems of work
Solid ability to read and translate production and construction drawings
Strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking
Solid communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships
Strong work ethic and a positive, "Can-do" attitude
