HunterBioTx is an Australian service company specialising in providing servicing solutions tailored to Automatic Endoscope Reprocessors (AERs).
AERs play a critical role in maintaining healthcare facilities and ensuring a high level of patient care is delivered.
Our trained technicians are able to provide routine maintenance and inspections, preventative maintenance programs, emergency repairs and troubleshooting as well as training and technical support to healthcare facilities across all states and territories in Australia.
A unique opportunity has arisen within the company and we are currently seeking applications for the following position:
The role
Environmental & domestic services equipment— servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining equipment used in facility and domestic service environments
Endoscopic reprocessing equipment— servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining AERs, storage cabinets, and dosing systems
You'll work alongside experienced technicians and engineers who provide structured, hands‐on training, with genuine opportunities to build specialist skills in medical device servicing and regulatory compliance over time.
Early on, you'll work closely under supervision on clinical‐critical equipment, with responsibility growing as your skills and confidence develop.
What You'll Do
Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and troubleshooting on a range of medical and environmental service equipment
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control system faults in the field and workshop
Complete accurate service reports, job documentation, and technical records (Microsoft Word and Adobe standard office software)
Follow documented procedures with close attention to detail on every job
Liaise professionally with clients and clinical staff during site visits
Support senior technicians and engineers on more complex service and installation tasks
Continuously build technical knowledge across both equipment streams through structured training and mentoring
What We're Looking For
A genuinely hands‐on approach — comfortable working with tools, equipment, and troubleshooting physical systems
Competency with Microsoft Word or similar for writing clear, accurate service documentation
Keen attention to detail — this work supports equipment used in clinical and healthcare settings, so accuracy matters
Strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn, ask questions, and grow into the role
A trade qualification or STEM‐related degree is preferred, but relevant hands‐on experience will be equally valued — we're open to candidates from varied technical backgrounds
A current driver's licence (field service travel required across NSW; company vehicle provided)
Comfortable with occasional lifting, working in clinical/hospital environments, and following PPE and infection control requirements on site
What We Offer
Structured on‐the‐job training across both equipment streams
Ongoing learning and development support as you grow into the role
Mentoring from an experienced technical and engineering team
Company vehicle for field service work
The chance to build a specialised career in a growing and reliable industry
The Package
An attractive salary package will be on offer to the successful candidate.
The Location
This role is based in Sydney and travel within Regional NSW will be required.
