Maxwell Recruitment and Training have been a specialist supplier of skilled labour into the heavy industry for over 15 years and currently have opportunities for 1st year Apprentice Carpenters.

Successful candidates will have a genuine interest in building and construction, will not be afraid to get their hands dirty and have a desire to learn recent skills with the goal of becoming Trade Qualified, then progressing further post trade.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the construction, installation and maintenance of formwork, timber structures, framing, fix-outs and general carpentry works on commercial construction sites
Work across various commercial construction projects throughout Newcastle, Central Coast and Hunter Valley
Follow site safety procedures and protocols
Shadow experienced Tradespeople and support the team with daily site tasks
Assist with measuring, cutting, assembling and installing materials under supervision

What We're Looking For:
Genuine interest in Carpentry with a focus on getting a trade qualification

Reasonable writing and computer skills, valuable level of Math and English
Current Drivers' Licence
Must have completed year 10 (as a minimum)
Whitecard (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
