What we need from you / What our client requires
Experience managing or supporting the delivery of road infrastructure projects through the preconstruction and/or design phases.
Strong knowledge of project management, contract administration, procurement and stakeholder engagement.
Experience using project management systems such as SAP, Primavera P6 and/or 3PCM.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders.
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer (Civil) to support the delivery of key transport infrastructure projects within a preconstruction team. Working closely with the Project Manager, you will assist in delivering projects from completed business cases through preliminary and detailed design to Issue for Construction documentation.
You will coordinate consultants, manage project controls, support procurement and contract administration activities, and help ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced civil engineer with a background in transport infrastructure to contribute to significant road projects.
Key Requirements
Support the Project Manager in delivering road infrastructure projects throughout the preconstruction phase.
Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting and risk management.
Coordinate consultants, contractors and suppliers throughout project delivery.
Conduct site inspections and provide technical advice during project development.
Monitor project budgets, forecasts and schedules using SAP, Primavera P6 and 3PCM.
Process project expenditure, progress claims and monthly financial reporting.
Support procurement activities in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
Assist with contract administration, including variations, extensions of time, delay claims and stakeholder correspondence.
Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure compliance with governance requirements.
Liaise effectively with internal teams, consultants, contractors and external stakeholders.
Ensure quality, environmental and safety requirements are incorporated throughout project delivery.
Monitor project risks and provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager.
