About theRole
TheParks and Open Space Team provides delivery of maintenanceactivities related to Townsville's existing public infrastructurewithin parks, open spaces, including cemeteries. These areasprovide a range of services including recreational and culturalactivities for both residents and visitors across the TownsvilleRegion.
These positionscomplete a range of assigned maintenance and functional activitieswhich includes mowing, laying turf, planting, whipper snipping,gardening, weeding, mulching, hedging, poisoning, tree trimming andbasic irrigation. You will also drive manual light trucks whichincludes loading, unloading and tying down loads.
You'll need to bephysically fit to perform the variety of work and be able to workin the outdoors in a hot environment.
You'll be part of agreat working culture that is driven to have our parks and openspaces look fantastic and operate in a protected manner for theCommunity.
Avariety of training is provided and there are ample opportunitiesto progress into other roles within the team.

Tobe eligible to apply for these roles, youmust have a Manual "C" class licenceand a Construction Industry White Card ****** QLD).
