About the Role
Working closely with the Project Manager and site teams, you will be responsible for the commercial management of projects from procurement through to completion.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing subcontract procurement and contract administration




Preparing subcontract agreements and purchase orders
Cost reporting, budgeting and forecasting
Processing progress claims and subcontractor payments
Managing variations and Extension of Time (EOT) claims
Monitoring project budgets and financial performance
Maintaining contract and procurement registers
Liaising with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
Assisting with project delivery and commercial outcomes
Coordinating final accounts and project close-out documentation
Skills & Experience
To be successful, you will have:
Minimum 3 years' experience as a Contract Administrator within commercial construction
Experience delivering childcare, commercial and/or civil construction projects
Experience working for a Tier 1 builder will be highly regarded; however, we also welcome applications from candidates with experience working for Tier 2 builders or reputable commercial construction companies
Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or a related discipline
Strong understanding of Queensland building legislation, the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards and local construction practices
Demonstrated knowledge of Queensland building codes, construction methodologies and compliance requirements
Experience with procurement, contract administration, cost control, forecasting, variations and EOTs
Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Experience using Jobpac, Procore, Cheops or similar construction management software is advantageous
Applicants must have unrestricted Australian working rights and currently reside in Australia to be considered for this position.
