About the role
Grand Prix Narangba is seeking a skilled and dedicated Accessory Fitter to join our team on a full-time basis at our Narangba, Queensland location. This is an exciting opportunity to work in the automotive trades industry, where you will play a vital role in installing and fitting high-quality accessories to vehicles. As an Accessory Fitter, you will be responsible for ensuring that all accessories are installed to the highest standards, maintaining customer satisfaction and contributing to the reputation of Grand Prix Narangba as a trusted automotive service provider.
Key responsibilities
Install a wide range of vehicle accessories including towbars, roof racks, bullbars, tray liners, and other aftermarket fittings to customer specifications
Read and interpret technical drawings, installation manuals and work orders to ensure accurate fitting of accessories
Conduct quality inspections of completed work to ensure all installations meet safety standards and customer expectations
Prepare vehicles prior to accessory installation by cleaning work areas and protecting vehicle surfaces
Perform basic troubleshooting and adjustments to ensure accessories function correctly after installation
Maintain a clean and organised workshop workplace in compliance with health and safety regulations




Communicate effectively with customers regarding installation progress and any potential issues or modifications
Keep accurate records of completed work, materials used and time spent on each job
Support the team in meeting production targets and delivery deadlines
What we're looking for
Proven experience as an Accessory Fitter or similar role within the automotive trades industry
Strong knowledge of vehicle accessories and fitment techniques specific to the automotive aftermarket
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools and specialist fitting equipment
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and installation specifications accurately
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
Physical fitness and ability to work in various positions for extended periods
Knowledge of health and safety practices relevant to automotive workshops
Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to different vehicle models and accessory types
Preferred: relevant qualifications in automotive accessory fitting or completion of vocational training in automotive trades
