Mariners Cove Marina, located in the picturesque Main Beach area, is a beloved marina known for its charm and community spirit. As we prepare for a major redevelopment project, we are seeking a dedicated Maintenance General Hand to help maintain our current facilities and ensure a protected and pleasant setting for our visitors during this transitional period.

Job Description:

General Maintenance:Perform routine and urgent maintenance tasks including painting, minor carpentry, plumbing repairs, and general upkeep of the marina’s existing, albeit aging, facilities.

Facility Repairs:Address maintenance issues promptly, focusing on keeping the facilities safe and operational despite their run-down condition.

Groundskeeping:Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the marina grounds, ensuring a welcoming environment for visitors.

Safety Compliance:Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, ensuring a safe workplace for staff and marina guests.

Customer Service:Interact with marina guests and boat owners in a courteous and qualified manner, assisting with any maintenance-related inquiries.





Equipment Care:Assist in the upkeep of marina equipment to ensure it remains functional and safe for use.

Inventory Management: Monitor and manage maintenance supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and placing orders as needed.

Team Collaboration:Work closely with the marina team to coordinate maintenance activities and support overall marina operations during this period.

Qualifications:

Experience:Previous experience in a maintenance or handyman role, preferably within a marina or marine workplace.

Skills:Proficiency in general maintenance tasks including plumbing, carpentry, painting, and equipment repair.

Physical Stamina:Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Problem-Solving:Solid troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve issues efficiently.

Communication:Good communication skills with the ability to interact positively with colleagues and marina guests.

Team Player:Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Flexibility:Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and be on-call for emergencies as needed
