Nursing Teachers

As a key member of our teaching team, you will contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality learning experiences through:
Delivering engaging, outcome-focused vocational education and training (VET) programs.
Supporting students to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence required for successful careers in healthcare.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with industry, schools, universities, TAFE Queensland campuses and other VET providers.
Maintaining currency in nursing practice, workplace delivery and contemporary teaching methodologies.
Creating supportive and inclusive learning environments that promote student success.
Contributing to a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Helping TAFE Queensland achieve its commitment to excellence in training and education.

TAFE Queensland regularly recruits Nursing Teachers for both short and long-term opportunities across various qualification delivery areas. Applications will remain active for up to 12 months, and suitable candidates may be contacted when opportunities arise.

Mandatory Qualifications/Requirements
a. Vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed:
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent;
b.
Possession of one of the following training and assessment credentials:
TAE***** Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor; or
TAE***** Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or
TAE***** Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or
TAE***** Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or its successor; or
TAE***** or TAE***** Diploma of Vocational Education and Training; or
TAE***** or TAE***** Diploma of Training Design and Development; or
A secondary teaching qualification and one (1) of the following credentials:
TAESS***** VET Delivered to School Students Teacher Enhancement Skill Set or its successor; or
TAESS***** or TAESS***** Assessor Skill Set or its successor; or
A higher-level qualification in adult or vocational education (approved by TAFE Queensland);
c. Applicants must also demonstrate:
Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided.
Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that inform training and assessment practices.
Ongoing professional development in vocational education, competency-based training and assessment.
Note: Proof of qualifications and industry currency/experience to be provided at interview.
Highly Desirable Requirements
Strong digital literacy skills across a range of technologies and learning platforms.
Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Experience delivering learning in online, blended and face-to-face environments.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
