About the Role
Successful candidates will provide assistance to our participant who is non verbal with complex needs such as PEG feeding, manual handling and other complex medical and health needs. General duties include helping the participant with daily activities, personal care, and community engagement. You
must be willing and available to work active night shifts
as part of your roster. If you're not based locally, you must be willing to travel for work.
What You'll Do
Assist with daily living tasks such as
personal care, PEG feeding, cleaning, and shopping
.
Provide or assist with
transport and support
for medical appointments, social outings, and activities.




Work alongside allied health professionals to
develop support plans
and help participants achieve their goals.
Support participants in gaining
independence, confidence, and community involvement
.
Ensure
participants always have choice and control
over their care and support.
Managing and assisting participant during medical episodes.
What We're Looking For
Experience & Qualifications
– Cert III in Individual Support (or higher) OR relevant industry experience and experience with non verbal or complex participants is highly desirable.
Essential Requirements
– NDIS Worker Screening (Yellow Card), Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid & CPR Certificate, Current "C" Class Driver's License, Full Comprehensive Car Insurance, and your own vehicle.
Skills & Traits
– Solid communication skills, adaptability, empathy, and the ability to provide person-centered care.
Availability
–
Must be open to working sleepover and/or active night shifts as required.
