Support Worker Co is a leading Support Worker Agency that provides best fit Youth Workers to Youth Service Organisations across Australia.
We have casual, residential Youth Worker roles available in
Ryde, Roseville, Turramurra, Artarmon, Pymble, Waitara, North Shore & St Ives.
Youth Workers will be required to:
Deliver high quality care and support within a 24-hour residential setting to children and young people who are unable to live with their families, kinship carers or foster carers.
Be able to work a
combination
of shifts which may include: day shifts - from ****, afternoon & sleepovers shifts - from *********** next day, actives night shifts - from *********/midnight.
Respond to the young person's emotional and functional needs and the development of their personal skills.
Work within a team to provide trauma informed & therapeutic care to young people who present complex needs due to past trauma and abuse.
Provide a safe and home environment while supporting young people to achieve their goals.
Assist with administrative requirements and household duties.

What you need:
A minimum Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or a recognised tertiary qualification in Youth Work, Community Services or a related qualification (or working towards)
Experience supporting high risk youth in a residential care setting.
Australian driver's license (We cannot accept international licenses)
First Aid Certificate with current CPR
Working with Children Check (paid employee status)
National police check (current within 6 months)
Have a reliable car with registration certificate
Reliable smart phone with data
Ability to work a combination of morning, afternoon and over night shifts (active and/or sleepover shifts)
Previous experience working with children and young people with complex needs including sexualised behaviors.

Casual position with consistent hours, however, to supplement consistent shifts staff ideally should be available to be pick up backfill shifts
