We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated
Accountant
to support our organisation's financial operations and work closely with the management and administration team.
About the Position
Full Time- 38 hours per week
Based at Cardiff NSW
The Accountant plays a key role in supporting the financial management of Muloobinba Aboriginal Corporation, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong financial controls, and compliance with relevant funding and regulatory requirements.




This position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day financial operations, supporting budgeting and reporting, Payroll and superannuation, BAS & Taxation, assisting with audits and acquittals, and working closely with the Finance Officer, Manager – Administration, and broader team to ensure the Organisation's finances are well managed and compliant.
Key Responsibilities
Overseeing and managing financial records and reporting
Preparing and reviewing budgets, financial reports, and reconciliations, and Cash flow forecasting
Ensuring compliance with funding, audit, and regulatory requirements
Managing payroll, Superannuation, LSL, and other employee related functions
Managing accounts payable and receivable processes
Lodgment of PAYG, BAS and FBT and other ATO reports
Providing financial advice and support to management and program staff
Liaising with external stakeholders, including auditors and funding bodies, insurance companies
Supporting and strengthening financial systems and processes.
Position Requirements
Relevant Qualifications in Accounting, Finance or related field
Demonstrated working experience in Financial Accounting
BAS agent registration
NSW Driver's License
National Police Check
Working experience in Not- for- profit Organisations, and Government funded contracts
Aboriginality is preferable, but not essential
