The City Futures directorate focuses on developing our strategy to ensure sustainable and responsible planning and development for all aspects of our City.
About the role
We currently have an opportunity in our City Infrastructure business unit for a Transport Planner, working as an integral member of the part of the Traffic & Road Safety team.
This role will entail development and review of transport policies, plans and practices that work towards ensuring people can move in and around the Bayside LGA in a sustainable manner.
You can also expect to:
Research and analyse key asset data to develop asset network risk management plans and treatment options, to inform current/future asset condition, performance and utilisation works.
Develop and implement sustainable transport policies, strategies and land use planning.
Prepare project briefs, research, reports and advice to inform decision-making.
Advocate for sustainable transport outcomes and manage stakeholder relationships.
Facilitate the Walking and Cycling Forum and manage consultants as required.
Collaborate across Council to deliver strategic priorities and organisational goals.
About you
We are looking for someone who has:
Previous experience in a similar role.
The initiative to progress and deliver your own and team/unit work to ensure the delivery of quality, on time outcomes.




Appropriate tertiary qualifications together with the ability to demonstrate extensive knowledge around how an integrated transport approach can result in quality-built form outcomes for the greater community.
Your highly developed research and analysis skills coupled with robust communication skills that have been well honed whilst undertaking community consultation and stakeholder management.

Salary Range:$109,******to $ 122,****** per annum, plus 12% superannuation
