About the Role
As a Boilermaker, you will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, repair and maintenance of metal structures and components in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Your responsibilities may include:
Fabricating and assembling metal components from engineering drawings
MIG, TIG and stick welding on a variety of materials
Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
Cutting, grinding, measuring and preparing materials
Repairing and modifying equipment and structural components
Operating workshop machinery and fabrication equipment
Conducting quality checks to ensure work meets required standards
Maintaining a secure and clean work environment
To Be Successful, You Will Possess the Following
Trade qualification as a Boilermaker or Fabrication Tradesperson
Previous experience in fabrication, manufacturing or heavy industrial environments
Strong welding and fabrication skills
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Experience using hand and power tools, welding and fabrication equipment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Commitment to workplace health and safety
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Current driver's licence and reliable transport preferred
