Mission
Terus Construction, a divison of Colas Western Canada Inc., is seeking an Asphalt Roller Operator based in Revelstoke, BC.
Main Responsibilities
Operate steel-wheeled, rubber-tired, vibrator, segmented or other type of roller to compact earth, subgrade, sub-base and asphalt surfaces.
Distribute, break down, compress and give a finished surface to cooling asphalt.
Drive machine in successive overlapping passes over surfaces to be compacted, rolling subgrade and asphalt to desired compaction and smoothness.
Determine speed and direction of machine based on knowledge of compressibility of material under changing temperatures.
Push hand roller and pound surfaces, using hand tamp, or guide portable power roller over areas not accessible to road roller.
Qualifications/ Experience:




High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Driver's License (Class 5)
Experience in the industry an asset
Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies
Ability to work overtime as required
Physical Requirements
Required to perform tasks that involve heavy lifting, bending and strenuous movements.
Must be able to work outdoors in areas that are dusty or dirty.
The anticipated hourly wage for this position is $30-$34 CAD per hour .
The final compensation package will be determined based on factors including the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
