The Director Finance, Planning and Performance is a senior leadership role within the NSW Reconstruction Authority (RA), responsible for delivering integrated financial, risk, procurement, commercial and performance services that enable effective service delivery across the organisation.
This role provides critical, evidence-based advice to the Executive, CEO and Minister, ensuring strong financial stewardship, robustgovernanceand transparency of public funds.
You will lead enterprise-wide planning,reportingand performance frameworks, whilestrengtheningcommercial capability and ensuring compliance with NSW Government policy and legislative requirements.
In this role, you will:
Lead integrated finance,planningand performance functions, driving strong financial stewardship,governanceand organisational outcomes
Oversee strategic and business planning, aligning budgets, performance and reporting to enable transparency and informed decision-making
Provideexpert, evidence-based advice across finance, risk,procurementand commercial matters to support Executive and Ministerial priorities
Drive robust risk,complianceand procurement frameworks, ensuring value-for-money outcomes and alignment with NSW Government requirements
Build strong relationships with NSW Treasury and key stakeholders to deliver coordinated, whole-of-government outcomes
About You
You are a highly capable finance and strategy leader with experienceoperatingin complex,



high-accountability environments.
You bring strong commercial acumen, strategicinsightanda track recordof delivering integrated financial and performance outcomes.
We are looking for a leader with:
Demonstrated experience in senior finance,strategyor commercial leadership roles, ideally within government or a large, complex organisation
Solid knowledge of public sectorfinancial management, budgeting, reporting,procurementand governance frameworks
Proven ability to lead enterprise planning,performanceand risk functions
Experience managing procurement and commercial activities, including contract and vendor management
Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability tooperateat Executive level
Tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting, business or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
About the Agency
The NSW Reconstruction Authority is a statutory corporation that will improve how NSW plans for disasters and ensure that we recover from them faster.
To reduce the severity and impacts of disasters, the NSW Reconstruction Authority will complete critical planning and preparation with communities,businessesand government.
When disaster does strike, we will get recovery started swiftly and coordinate reconstruction efforts across agencies,communitiesand other stakeholders.
