Role
Becoming a Knifehand at Oakey Beef Exports is an opportunity to upskill and create a long-term pathway, with over 50+ different trimming and Knifehand roles in one department alone.
This Knifehand position offers:
Full-time, permanent employment in Oakey
Monday to Friday shifts, with five (5) Saturday's each year
5:30AM – 1:36PM working hours (+1hr OT when required)
Full on the job training including a Certificate in Meat Processing
What experience are we looking for?
Working As a Knifehand Is Fast-paced And Can Be Physically Demanding.
Having The Motivation To Learn Will Be An Asset In Your Success.
Previous Experience Using a Knife Will Be Extremely Advantageous!
Some Areas Of Experience That Would Be Beneficial Include
Butcher experience
Chef/Kitchen experience
Harvesting/farm experience




Knife sharpening experience
Meat/Seafood/Poultry processing experience
While we are currently seeking candidates with existing knife skills, we also offer entry-level roles where training can be provided for those will the motivation to learn!
