About the Company
The company has established consumer products, a growing enterprise channel and several potential paths for future growth. Its next phase will require sharper choices about where to invest, which opportunities to pursue and how to translate those decisions into coordinated execution.
About the Role
This role will work closely with senior leadership on a changing portfolio of commercial and operational priorities. It could sit alongside Enterprise, Growth, Product or the executive team, depending on the candidate's strengths and the needs of the business. The remit is intentionally broad. It is suited to someone who can move comfortably between diagnosing a problem, interrogating the data, recommending a course of action and helping a team deliver it.
Responsibilities
Define complex or loosely framed business questions
Identify the analysis required to reach a useful decision
Work directly with customer, financial and operational data
Build commercial models, forecasts and business cases
Assess options and communicate the relevant risks and trade-offs
Convert decisions into sequenced, workable delivery plans
Coordinate contributors across several functions without relying on formal authority
Track whether initiatives are producing the intended commercial or customer result
Adjust the approach when the evidence changes
Qualifications
You might currently be working in consulting and looking for direct accountability for implementation. You might be part of a strategy, commercial or operations team within a technology business. You may also have developed similar experience as an early employee, founder's associate or generalist operator in a smaller company.
Required Skills
Have solved complex commercial, strategic or operational problems
Can distinguish the important question from the surrounding noise
Are highly capable in spreadsheets and financial modelling
Can use SQL or comparable data tools to investigate questions independently
Understand revenue, cost, customer behaviour and operational constraints
Communicate clearly with both specialist teams and senior decision-makers
Can build cooperation across teams while retaining accountability for progress
Are prepared to test your view and change it when the evidence points elsewhere
Work effectively without a fully defined brief or established playbook
What you can expect
A wide remit that can evolve with the company and the successful candidate
Direct involvement in commercially significant decisions
Work that spans analysis, planning and implementation
Access to customer, operational and commercial data
Close collaboration with Product, Engineering, Data, Growth and Enterprise teams
The prospect to build processes and capabilities that do not yet exist
A working environment that values considered judgement, direct communication and practical outcomes
Recruitment Process
Introductory Conversation: An initial discussion to learn more about your background, experience, and interests. We'll also share more detail about the company, product, and leadership team
Leadership Conversation: A conversation with the founder or executive leadership team focused on the company's direction, key challenges, and what success in the role looks like
Technical Deep Dive: A deeper discussion exploring how you think through technical and organisational challenges, make trade-offs, and operate in fast-moving environments
Final Conversations: A small number of final discussions with senior leaders to ensure strong mutual alignment across vision, leadership style, and technical direction
We aim to keep the process efficient, communicative, and respectful of candidates' time throughout.
