Reporting to the Service Centre Manager, you will lead one of CHEP Australia’s largest service centres, overseeing high-volume repair, wash and retail operations delivering critical supply chain support across the region. This role plays a key leadership position onsite managing a team of 4 direct and 100+ indirect reports, ensuring production, safety, quality, cost and customer targets are consistently met while building a strong, engaged and inclusive workplace culture.
What You’ll Be Doing
Creating and sustaining a protected, inclusive and high‑performing workplace
Leading and developing frontline leaders through coaching, mentoring and support
Overseeing day‑to‑day production across repair, wash and retail operations
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and reduce waste
Planning and resourcing effectively to meet production and service targets
Building robust relationships across the site and broader Supply Chain teams
Championing CHEP’s values through visible, values‑led leadership
What You Bring
Leadership experience in manufacturing,
production or industrial operations
A genuine passion for people leadership and team development
Proven ability to deliver safety and operational KPIs
Confidence managing performance, safety and operational challenges
A continuous improvement mindset with strong operational judgement
Clear, inclusive and confident communication skills
Formal leadership or operational qualifications (Diploma or above preferred)
Experience managing large teams (50+ employees preferred)
Experience in a unionised or complex workforce setting is beneficial
