As a Field Service Engineer, you will provide technical support both remotely and onsite, ensuring equipment operates reliably and customers receive prompt, professional service.
You'll work closely with customers, suppliers, sales, customer service and warehouse teams, becoming a trusted technical expert for our products.
Based from our Alexandria office, you'll travel to customer sites to install, service, maintain and troubleshoot a range of advanced medical devices and equipment, helping our customers deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
This role offers a combination of field-based work, customer interaction, technical problem-solving and travel locally with occasional travel interstate.
Key Responsibilities
Install, service and maintain medical technology and equipment
Diagnose and resolve technical issues remotely or onsite
Troubleshoot electromechanical systems and identify root causes of equipment failures
Build and maintain strong customer relationships through exceptional service delivery




Manage customer expectations and provide regular updates throughout service activities
Complete accurate service documentation and field service reports
Maintain service inventory and ensure availability of spare parts
Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to support customer needs
Promote and support service contract opportunities with customers
You will bring
Experience servicing, installing or maintaining electromechanical equipment
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Excellent communication and customer service capabilities
Robust organisational and time management skills
Confidence working autonomously in a field-based environment
Computer literacy and experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce or similar
A current and unrestricted Australian driver's licence
Highly Regarded
Engineering qualifications in Industrial Electronics, Electronics, Mechatronics, Laser Technology or a related discipline
Experience with precision optical or mechanical alignments
Medical device, healthcare technology or laser device service experience
Experience supporting capital equipment in healthcare, laboratory, scientific, manufacturing or technical environments
