About the Role
Working from either our Brisbane CBD office or beachside Gold Coast office, this is an opportunity to manage a broad range of family law matters while working within a collaborative and supportive team.
You will work closely with clients through sensitive and often complex matters, providing practical advice and strong representation while maintaining the highest professional standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing your own family law matters from commencement through to resolution
Advising clients on parenting, property settlements, financial agreements and divorce matters
Conducting negotiations and attending mediations where appropriate
Preparing court documents, affidavits and correspondence
Appearing in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia
Building trusted relationships with clients through clear and empathetic communication
Working collaboratively with colleagues across the firm
Contributing to the continued growth and reputation of the practice
About You
To be successful, you will have:
Admission as a solicitor in Queensland
Minimum of 2 years' post-admission experience practising predominantly in Family Law
Strong technical knowledge of family law legislation and court processes
Experience using Smokeball or similar legal practice management software (highly regarded)
Excellent drafting, negotiation and advocacy skills
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
A compassionate and client-focused approach
The ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a supportive team culture
