A global food technology business delivering advanced processing, automation and service solutions across fish, poultry, meat and prepared foods, with a robust APAC presence and a long-term focus on quality, reliability and sustainable food production.
A field service role supporting food processing customers, working on standalone and end-of-line machinery including labellers, graders, weighers, conveyors, motors and VSD‐driven equipment. You will manage customer relationships, respond to breakdowns and maintenance, and support upgrades, operating autonomously from home when not on site with strong technical support behind you.

Salary $100,000–$120,000 + super + paid overtime
Approx. $17,800 vehicle allowance
Overtime opportunities that materially increase total earnings
Many engineers earn an additional $30k–$80k+ per year
All travel is covered, including paid travel time

Responsibilities
Attend customer sites for breakdowns, call‐outs and service work
Prepare, execute and report preventative maintenance visits
Troubleshoot electrical and electro‐mechanical faults on food processing equipment
Install machine enhancements, upgrades and retrofits
Test, calibrate and commission equipment to specification
Provide professional, calm support in live production environments
Build trusted relationships with maintenance, production and site leadership
Complete service documentation and reports accurately
Coordinate travel, parts and service activities independently
Collaborate with interstate engineers and global technical support teams
Travel & Hours
Travel is a mix of planned maintenance and reactive breakdowns
Interstate travel may occur when required
Weekend work is common due to customer downtime windows
All weekend and out‐of‐hours work is paid at overtime rates
Fatigue management policies actively enforced
This is not FIFO and not site‐based full time
Skills Required
Industrial Electrical trade qualification or equivalent experience
Strong fault‐finding capability in manufacturing or food environments
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams
Hands‐on experience with industrial machinery and automation equipment
Mechanical aptitude alongside electrical capability
Experience in food processing, FMCG or manufacturing environments
PLC fault diagnosis experience (programming not required)
Professional customer‐facing communication skills
Desirable (Not Essential)
Exposure to conveyors, motors, VSDs, sensors and automated processing equipment
