$74,847 pa (i.e. $***** ph) - includes industry allowance and uniform allowance + 12% super (level 6)
Please note, progression in remuneration (up to Level 8 - $79,143 pa inc. allowances + 12% super) is available for this position upon meeting performance and training requirements outlined in a structured crew leader framework.
76 hour fortnight
As a Crew Leader working within the Roads and Drains team, you'll work alongside a labourer undertaking assigned maintenance tasks on Council's civil infrastructure assets.
You will take the lead in identifying and allocating the necessary materials for task completion, as well as detecting defect causes in assets to propose effective and prompt solutions.
Additionally, you will be required to use technology/software to update and manage work orders and administrative tasks.
More specifically,this position will have you performing a variety of general labouring duties including:
removal of debris
fixing and replacing signs
fixing pathway, kerb and channel issues
addressing traffic island defects
maintaining other infrastructure and areas as needed
Your hands on involvement and leadership skills will be crucial in maintaining the safety and functionality of our community's infrastructure.
About you
Ideally you will have demonstrated recent hands on experience in civil infrastructure maintenance, with some experience leading others.
You'll also bring strong communication skills for effective interaction with both internal and external stakeholders, a proven ability to perform manual tasks in safety oriented environments, proficiency with relevant technology, and the capability to handle basic administrative duties.
Paired with the above mentioned skills and experience, you will also hold:
a current truck licence (minimum medium rigid - MR)
a Construction Induction card (or be willing to obtain prior to commencement)




a Traffic Management Implementation licence and a high risk work dogging (HRW DG) licence - or be willing to obtain within 6 months of commencement
Holding a Certificate III in Civil Construction or a similar qualification in a relevant field is highly desirable.
Please note:this qualification is required to advance through the Crew Leader Framework.
