Polyfoam Manufacturing is one of Australia's leading manufacturers of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) products. We are looking for a motivated and mechanically minded Trades Assistant to join our maintenance and production team at our modern manufacturing facility.

About the Role
This is a varied, hands-on position where you'll work closely with our maintenance and production teams to ensure our equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include:
Setting up production machinery and tooling
Completing tool changes and equipment adjustments
Assisting with preventative maintenance
Supporting breakdown repairs and fault finding
Performing minor mechanical repairs
Preparing machinery for daily production
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment
Assisting with general maintenance and improvement projects as required
No two days are the same,
making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety and practical work.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
Has strong mechanical aptitude and enjoys working with machinery
Has experience in manufacturing, maintenance, mechanical assembly or a similar hands-on environment
Is confident using hand and power tools
Can work independently and as part of a team
Takes pride in producing quality work
Has a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
Holds a forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
