Salt is working with a leading studio who specialise in live-action commercials, CGI, visual effects, and immersive technology experiences across VR, mobile, and large-format displays.

We're looking for a Senior Unreal Pipeline Developer to join this exciting business and help drive the next evolution of the real-time rendering platform.

This is an prospect to work across Unreal Engine, VFX pipelines, cloud rendering, and production tooling. You will focus on building systems that enable mass-scale content production both on-premises and in the cloud.

The Role
Design and develop pipeline solutions using Unreal Engine (C++, Python, and Blueprints)
Develop and maintain core middleware libraries
Contribute to build and deployment processes using Jenkins, Perforce, and Rez
Update, debug, and manage custom Unreal Engine builds
Reduce legacy dependencies and improve pipeline maintainability
Identify and resolve rendering, memory, and throughput bottlenecks
Optimise real-time and offline render workflows at scale
Support Technical Artists and junior developers
Contribute to documentation, standards, and evolving development practices

The person




Solid experience as a Developer working primarily with Unreal Engine
Solid proficiency in C++, Python, and Blueprints
Experience with Perforce and Git
Solid understanding of real-time rendering, shaders, and the graphics pipeline
Familiarity with Agile development and the software development lifecycle
Understanding of architectural principles such as TDD, SOA, DDD, and SRP
Comfortable giving and receiving constructive feedback
