About the Position

Smith & Co is currently seeking experienced Excavator Operators for multiple civil construction projects across Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast. We are partnering with a range of Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 contractors delivering major subdivision, road infrastructure, bulk earthworks, and land development projects.

These positions are available for operators looking for immediate starts, offering consistent hours, overtime opportunities, and long-term work with reputable civil contractors. You'll be operating modern GPS-equipped machinery on active construction sites with strong workloads already secured.

Key Responsibilities
Operate excavators safely and efficiently across civil construction sites
Complete bulk earthworks, trenching, drainage, and detailed excavation works
Work alongside site supervisors, operators, and civil crews to achieve project milestones
Conduct daily machine checks and report maintenance requirements
Maintain site safety standards and follow all workplace procedures

Skills & Experience
Proven experience operating excavators within civil construction environments
GPS machine control experience (Trimble and/or Topcon highly regarded)
Relevant RII Excavator ticket required
Current White Card
Ability to work effectively within a team setting
Reliable, punctual, and available for immediate commencement
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety standards
