About the Role
As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of manufacturing and production equipment through preventative and breakdown maintenance.
Key responsibilities include:
Performing preventative and reactive maintenance on plant and equipment
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults
Installing, maintaining and commissioning machinery
Conducting inspections and identifying potential equipment issues
Working from maintenance schedules and work orders
Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures
Collaborating with production teams to minimise downtime
Maintaining accurate maintenance records
To Be Successful, You Will Possess the Following
Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter, Fitter & Turner or equivalent
Previous experience in a manufacturing, production or industrial maintenance environment
Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
Experience with preventative and breakdown maintenance
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Full Australian working rights
Current driver's licence and reliable transport preferred
